(a) Initial Inquiry

Interested parents initiate contact through telephone or email to express their interest in Victoria Montessori School.

(b) Appointment Scheduling

An appointment is scheduled through the Victoria Montessori office to facilitate a visit to the school premises.

(c) On-Site Visit

During the scheduled visit, parents have the opportunity to meet with authorized personnel from our school to discuss their inquiries.

(d) Prospectus and Application

Following the visit, parents are provided with the school’s prospectus and application form. These documents are made available either through email or can be physically collected from the school.

(e) Application Submission

Parents are required to complete the application form and provide accompanying documentation. Additionally, proof of payment for the registration fee and school fees must be submitted to the school administrator, registrar, or via email to victoriamontessori@therhinogroup.co.za.

(f) Fee Payment

Prior to the commencement of attendance, all applicable fees, including school fees, lunch fees (if applicable), and stationery fees, must be paid.

(g) Orientation

On the first day of school, we kindly request that pupils and their parents arrive at least half an hour before classes begin. This allows for a warm welcome and provides an opportunity for parents and students to meet with their teachers and become familiar with the morning routine.

(h) Ongoing Communication

Parents of new pupils are encouraged to maintain open lines of communication with the school. They are welcome to periodically contact us to inquire about their child’s adjustment to this exciting new school adventure.

Victoria Montessori is firmly committed to upholding principles of non-discrimination. Our school operates on a merit-based appointment system for both children and our team members. Our core values align with the belief that every individual, regardless of their race, color, language, creed, or gender, possesses equal intrinsic worth and should be treated equitably in all aspects of our school’s operations.
In cases where preschool applicants have special needs or face learning barriers, we may request them to spend a day or two in our classrooms. This allows our teachers to comprehensively assess their spiritual, intellectual, mental, emotional, and social needs and requirements.

In instances where selection is necessary due to an excess of applicants in relation to available spots, our selection process adheres to the following criteria:

  • Preference will be given to applicants who have submitted the application form and accompanying documentation and paid the admission fees (comprised of the refundable one-month deposit, registration fee and school fee).
  • Preference will be given to siblings, except where this is not in the best interest of the child/children.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who have previously attended a Montessori school.
The capacity of the school to provide an acceptable quality education to the applicant alongside with parents help. (This provision applies particularly to applicants with special needs and barriers to learning.)
